MINERVA VOICES

Class of 2025 Beyond Graduation

Learn more about the Class of 2025's post-graduate ventures.

May 20, 2025

After their graduation this May, our undergraduate Class of 2025 is preparing to embark on exciting new adventures—whether stepping into full-time roles at leading tech companies or pursuing graduate studies at top institutions. As we celebrate this major milestone, we’re highlighting a few of our newest alumni and the paths they’re taking next.

Hailing from diverse backgrounds and academic focuses across Minerva’s majors, their stories reflect the creativity, resilience, and global mindset that define the Minerva experience. From designing future-forward user experiences at Google to leveraging data science for public health impact at Harvard, these students are paving the way for meaningful, purpose-driven careers.

We are incredibly proud of everything they’ve accomplished—and cannot wait to see what comes next.

Meet Nicole, a Computational Sciences and Arts & Humanities double major from Brazil, who will be joining Google as a User Experience Interaction Designer.

“Having a combined background gave me a pretty unique perspective. As a UX Designer, understanding programming is a big plus, especially when working on products that involve complex data or systems. My AI concentration also helped me stand out, and the design theory I studied helped sharpen my skills in graphic design, UX/UI, and digital illustration.

The alumni community has been amazing for sharing advice and even offering referrals, and my peers were the ones who kept me motivated (and sane) throughout the job search. My biggest piece of advice: create, create, create. Build a portfolio with projects you’re passionate about and practice sharing the story behind them.” — Nicole

Meet Dimitar, a Natural Sciences major from Bulgaria with a minor in Neuroscience, who will start a Ph.D. in Human Evolutionary Biology at Harvard University in the fall, after spending his summer post-graduation continuing as a Research Assistant at UCSF.

“I have been interested in the human brain and, in particular, what makes it so evolutionarily 'successful' for a while, and so the opportunity to work in such a lab at Harvard seemed like a great fit.

Probably the most useful skill that the Minerva education taught me was to think independently as a scientist and always make sure to get to the bottom of things. A good hypothesis has its distinct features regardless of how many years of science education one has, and learning to focus on this and other key principles has been key.” — Dimitar

Meet Yike, a Computational Sciences and Arts & Humanities double major from China with a minor in Interdisciplinary Digital Practices, who will be pursuing a Master’s in Health Data Science at Harvard University with a 100% Harvard Chan scholarship.

“Minerva’s undergraduate data science curriculum and my teaching assistant roles helped me build a strong foundation and see data science as a powerful tool for social impact. I’m excited to deepen my knowledge and technical skills through this master’s program while leveraging Boston’s healthcare resources to apply them in an industry context.

I believe my interdisciplinary background helped me stand out to the admissions team. It showed that I care not just about technology, but also its purpose and context. The cross-cultural projects and location-based learning at Minerva gave me unique stories to share and highlighted how I can contribute to community-building at Harvard.” —Yike

Meet Jiayuan, an Arts & Humanities and Social Sciences double major from China, who will pursue a Master of International Affairs at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA).

"Minerva’s emphasis on critical thinking, cross-cultural communication, and evidence-based reasoning really helped me articulate my goals clearly and confidently during the application process. The global immersion experience also gave me a unique lens on international issues that I think resonated strongly with the admissions team." — Jiayuan

Meet Koosha, a Social Sciences major from the United States, who will lead product development at an AI software company while creating music on the side.

“Minerva helped me develop a taste for ideas, aesthetics, people, products, and things. I can understand systems and businesses at a granular level and help solve problems that bring value. Minerva fed me loads of context-rich experiences that helped me understand how to extract relevant information, how to develop independent beliefs on things, and how to communicate my views to others in an appropriate fashion based on heightened cultural awareness. I now know how to read people, build trust, and cooperate thanks to the years of travel and co-living with best friends of diverse backgrounds.” — Koosha

We are thrilled to celebrate the Class of 2025. Their stories reflect the spirit of curiosity, creativity, and global impact that drives the Minerva community—and they’re just getting started.
