Bio

Daniel Portugal is the Graphic Designer & Web Manager at Minerva University. Originally from Peru, he is a multidisciplinary designer with nearly a decade of experience across branding, digital design, web, and creative strategy. His studies and career have taken him from Lima to London to Los Angeles, shaping the international perspective he brings to design and storytelling.

Before joining Minerva, Daniel was the in-house designer for the UCLA Alumni Association, where he led its visual identity across campaigns, events, and digital experiences serving the university’s global alumni community. Earlier in his career, he co-founded Wabu, an edtech platform that grew to serve more than 120,000 students across Peru, Mexico, and Chile. That experience shaped his approach to combining creativity with product thinking and strategy.

At Minerva, Daniel develops the university’s visual presence across platforms and shapes web experiences that communicate its distinctive approach to education. His work brings consistency to the university’s digital identity while reflecting the individuality and global character of its students.

Outside of design, Daniel is a musician, composer, and photographer. He has released an album and produced an immersive live show combining music, visuals, and storytelling—work that continues to inform his approach to design.
